1. Tell me about recycling in your country. How do people recycle?
Recycling is the most important daily routine for Koreans. So, recycling is well practiced in Korea.
People usually prepare three garbage cans at home. There is
a garbage can for regular garbage, food waste, and recycling . They gather the
things separately and take them out to the recycling area on the fixed day . At
my apartment, we can take out recycling on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Anyway,
I think that Korea is a great example when it comes to recycling.
2. Compare recycling in the past and now. How has recycling changed?
I think that recycling has changed a lot. In the past, there was no recycling program,
so people just threw out the garbage. The worst thing about it was that
the smell of the garbage cans was disgusting. But now, people do the recycling
very well. It is very well practiced in Kore a because we have a fixed day to do the
recycling. We gather the paper, plastic, and cans separately and then take them
out to the recycling area on the fixed day. It is very eco friendly Therefore,
recycling is very well practiced in Korea
3. Tell me about a memorable experience that happened while you were doing
recycling. Why is it so memorable?
I remember taking out the recycling two days ago. But as I was doing so, I lost my wallet.
I put my wallet in the recycling basket, but I forgot to pack it after the
recycling. So, it means I just threw out my wallet in the recycling area. I was so
surprised. I called to my apartment guard and explained my situation. Finally, he
found it and returned to me . Oh my gosh. It was really terrible . I don't want to have
an experience like this again. Since then, I have tried to be more careful to pack
my things.
